The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has announced new grants for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems and Battery Storage.
Irish homeowners can now claim a grant when they install a solar PV system and/or battery storage.

* This price does not include delivery or installation.
- Up to €3,000 is available to support the installation of Solar PV panels and battery energy storage systems
- Support is available to all owners of dwellings built and occupied before 2011 with a BER rating of C or above
- Grants are only for Solar PV systems installed after 7th January 2020
- €900 for every kWp for up to 2kWp
- €300 for every kWp up to 4kWp
- Battery Storage System grant of €600
- Battery minimum storage of 2kWh connected to a minimum of 2kWp of Solar PV
- Grant is a one-off payment
- Currently no payments for exporting electricity back to the grid
- Existing homeowners with PV qualify for the battery grant
- Only installers on SEAI’s Renewable Installers Register for Solar PV can certify installation
